Decaf
Colombia
Easy-going, sweet coffees with light-to-medium body and soft notes like fruit, honey and pastry.
Crankhouse Coffee’s latest decaf is a 50/50 blend of two regional Colombian coffees. Half of the blend comes from the Popayán region in Cauca, the other half is El Carmen from Huila, a decaf staple that Crankhouse has been buying for years. Both coffees go through the sugarcane Ethyl Acetate (EA) process at the DESCAFECOL plant in Manizales. This natural method uses a by-product of sugarcane fermentation to remove the caffeine, keeping the flavor intact without harsh chemicals. The process involves steaming the beans, applying the EA compound, and then steaming again to remove any residual EA before drying.
In the cup, you’ll find a smooth balance of sweet and nutty flavors, with notes of orange, cashew, and honeycomb. It’s a decaf that doesn’t compromise on taste.
We’ll attach this as a note on your item.
